✅ What Kind Of Attitude Is Expected?

2️⃣ Be Humble, Willing To Learn & Easy-going 🙂

We all make mistakes. Please do NOT complain over few small mistakes — have tolerance to surroundings.

Ask yourself:
• Is this "mistake" harmful to everyone or things will still turn out fine?
• Will I also make mistakes one day and hope others will be kind to me please?

Remind yourself:
💭 “I am here to learn, gain exposure, help out, and see the positive side.”

💭 “I am easy-going and understanding when others make mistakes too.”

All roads lead to Rome. ( sometimes is not "mistake" is just doing it differently) than you expected - overall - is the class/event successful end day with majority participants and coordinator loving it?

Note - one pleased coordinator can give u 10 classes to teach,  it takes 10 happy participants to form a class. Be pleasing , have people skills please.

✅ Learn Adaptability 🔥

3️⃣ Things Can Change Anytime

Songs may suddenly change.
Moves may change to suit the crowd too - example, they cannnot follow so more repetitions!
People may not play their part properly.
Coordinators may adjust timing.
Venues may change.
EVEN LEAD TRAINERS MAY FALL SICK & CHANGE LAST MINUTE.

This is part of EVENTS & LIVE WORK 🎤

Your flexibility and attitude are part of what will make you successful.

⏰ Please also arrive 15min–30min before event start
(or depend on your in-charge advice)

✅ Important For Shadows Trainers

4️⃣ Follow Professionally

• Please take the songs assigned to you
• Do NOT choose your own songs unless instructed to do so
• Please do NOT raise strong opinions if you have little experience yet
(example: complaining about posters, song choices, planning etc)

Be mentally Prepare that your lead (esp those experience and professional ones)
may prepare many songs on standby - a good lead will change songs and moves to suit the class too. We are catering to crowds preference and sometimes what coordinator said does not match with crowds showing up on site.

If songs change, moves change - you just follow pls , no worries. (see below)

⚠️ Remember:
ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS.
It is very easy to become an armchair critic.
Smart people appreciate ACTIONS, not just words.

🌟 OUR GOALS TRAINERS & SHADOWS🌟

5️⃣ Focus On Pleasing The MAJORITY ❤️

Our focus is on pleasing MAJORITY participants and coordinators.

6️⃣ VERY IMPORTANT — A Lead Trainer Must Think:

• What songs, styles, moves will these participants enjoy?
• What standby songs/styles/moves should I prepare in case crowd is different?
• What style or energy level suits this crowd?
• How many breaks should I arrange?

Example:
First-timer classes may need:
✅ More step explanations
✅ 2–3 water breaks
✅ Easier & catchy songs

Please communicate properly with coordinators too 🙂

7️⃣ Good Experienced Leads Trainer to Prepare In Advance

Good experienced leads usually prepare MANY songs in advance and adjust according to:
• Crowd response
• participants profile, who is coming  (Target group)
• Unexpected changes

So if the lead suddenly changes songs, moves, plans, or lineup —
➡️ Shadows please FOLLOW professionally and adapt WITHOUT complaining.

If not confident in songs:
✅ Follow at the back
✅ Choose back row/corner if possible
✅ Observe and learn professionally 🙂

8️⃣ Main Role Of A Lead Trainer

The lead trainer’s role is to:
❤️ Make the class/event/coordinator/participants HAPPY (MAJORITY HAPPY)
❤️ Create returned customers
❤️ Create successful and FUN for everyone event experiences

(Shadows are learning how to become good trainers through this chance.)

A lead trainer can also use this page in future to guide younger shadows on what is expected 🙂

✅ Learn GOOD From Others Only

9️⃣ If A Trainer Is Unfortunately Rude...

If a trainer is rude, harsh, or not very nice:
➡️ Learn only their strengths
➡️ Do NOT copy their flaws

If you are on the receiving end, tell yourself:
💭 “Now I understand unpleasant behavior hurts others.”

And remind yourself to always be:
❤️ Polite
❤️ Courteous
❤️ Respectful

If your teacher dislikes you for being rude, you are not going to go far in life even with distinction.   A gentle reminder to parents to teach good manners please at home.
This article is not tested in quiz, but incase you are keen - click here to read pls.

✅ Communication & Courtesy 🙂

🔟 Simple Good Manners Matter

A. Say Please, May I, Thank You
B. Use more emojis 🙂🙏👍
C. Thank the in-charge:
“I greatly appreciate your help here and giving me a chance.”
D. Don’t just keep quiet. Don’t look away/look down completely.
E. Smile often 🙂
“Can I help you please?”
F. Greet people:
“Hello!” “Hi!” “Good day!”

✅ Last Minute Song Changes

1️⃣1️⃣ Learn To Accommodate

Some trainers prepare songs VERY LAST MINUTE — and that is okay.

As an apprentice/shadow:
✅ Learn to accommodate
✅ Learn to adapt professionally

Yes, you may gently ask for the song list if it arrives too late 🙂

✅ Positive Mindset 🌈

1️⃣2️⃣ Think Positively

Tell yourself:
💭 “I am here to have fun and enjoy learning new perspectives!”

Accept feedback and corrections maturely - no need to be offended, ask yourself is there truth? Can I work on this for better growth pls?

✅ Advice For Growth

1️⃣3️⃣ Follow Different Trainers

If possible:
• Follow many different trainers
• Observe different styles
• Learn crowd management
• Learn different teaching methods

Over time, this will help you become a stronger and more experienced lead trainer yourself.

❌ DO NOT Become Middleman For Gossip

1️⃣4️⃣ Avoid Passing Negative Feedback

DO NOT help others pass negative comments like:

❌ “This person says your ___ is not good...”

Tell the complainer politely:
➡️ Please feedback directly yourself to that person.

You do NOT need to become middleman passing messages out of goodwill.
This is usually a THANKLESS JOB.

✅ Relationships Matter ❤️

1️⃣5️⃣ Maintain Good Relationships

In this industry:
• People recommend each other for jobs
• Coordinators like trainers who solve problems & are EASY TO WORK WITH
• Word of mouth matters
• Opportunities often come through relationships & reputation

✅ Learn From Corrections

1️⃣6️⃣ Don’t Fear Mistakes

Sometimes people are so afraid of mistakes or corrections that:
❌ They stop learning
❌ Reject feedback
❌ Get angry when corrected
❌ Beat themselves up emotionally

Please remind yourself:
💭 “It is okay. Don’t take it personally. Learn from it and grow stronger.”

🌟 Criticism from successful mentors/trainers can be one of the BEST ways to improve.

Remember:
💡 Thomas Edison created the light bulb after thousands of failures and mistakes.

✅ If You Really Want To Give Feedback

1️⃣7️⃣ Use Sandwich Method 🥪

Praise ➜ Solution ➜ Encouragement/Praise Ending
